Restaurant & Lounge with a View
With our recent award of Best New Restaurant of 2017 from North Coast Journal, Humboldt Bay Bistro has become a go-to dinner destination for locals and tourists alike. Local chefs Brett Obra and Evan Daugherty opened the doors in April of 2016, and have quickly become community favorites with their delicious California-French fusion cuisine, beautiful dining room with a view, and friendly staff.
Humboldt Bay Bistro offers a casual fine dining atmosphere and many delicious dinner options. Happy Hour is from 5-6pm in the lounge, where you can enjoy house-crafted sake cocktails, a glass of wine, or one of our local draught beers for a dollar off discount. Next, move to the dining room, with a gorgeous view of the bay from the Woodley Island Marina to the Samoa Bridge, for a beautiful sunset and an innovative culinary experience. Some of the local starters include calamari fries, fresh locally harvested kumamoto oysters, and a classically made tableside Caesar salad for two. For entrées, you might enjoy our pan-seared duck breast with a bing cherry port-reduction, a filet mignon and butter-poached Maine lobster tail in a popular surf and turf combo, or a fresh, off-the-boat catch of the day.
Also, if you’re looking for a place to hold a private party, we have become a popular venue for private events such as holiday, birthday and graduation parties. Call us and book yours today. If you haven’t had the chance or have been here before, stop by and enjoy a fabulous dinner, view and friendly staff. We are located just NE of the Humboldt Bay Library on the corner of 2nd and P Street.
