Restaurant 301 at Carter House Inns is a Wine Spectator Grand Award winning restaurant with over 3,800 wine selections. This prestigious honor is bestowed on a mere 77 restaurants worldwide, and has been held by Restaurant 301 for the past 20 years.
The restaurant’s Garden-to-Table philosophy is supported by the Inn’s Gardens. After 30 Years “301 Gardens” is still the restaurant’s freshest source of micro-greens, herbs, seasonal fruits and edible flowers. They produce quality ingredients for the restaurant’s dishes and specialty cocktails. With a season-driven menu, Restaurant 301 uses local produce from local farmers year-round.
The Inn also produces its own wine under the Carter Cellars label. With five 100-point wines from Robert Parker, Carter Cellars wines have become a cult classic. They specialize in limited production Cabernet Sauvignons and Merlots from the finest vineyards in Napa Valley, including the famous To Kalon vineyard in Oakville, California. Additionally, veteran winemaker Nils Venge teamed up with Restaurant 301 owner Mark Carter to open Napa Valley’s Envy Estate Winery. They specialize in estate wines including Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Restaurant 301 offers tasting flights of both labels at our bar.
